Technology Core

The Technology Core is responsible for providing and maintaining all backend technology systems used by all Center projects. This Core is headed by Dr. Jonathan Wynn, who is a Health Science Specialist in the Center and MIRECC, and Dr. Eric Reavis. Every Focus Area is using complex software and hardware to reach their scientific goals. This Core ensures that all data will be collected in a secure manner using VA-approved encryption and storage methods and maintain all participant’s PII and PHI. Key examples of support the Technology Core provide include: 1) deployment of apps and server setup for digital phenotyping projects; 2) collection, storage, and processing of all raw neurophysiological data; and 3) interfacing with the Data Management and Statistics Core to move derived measures to the centralized data base for use in analyses.
